Is FeatherClip really free?
Yes. There is no premium plan, no daily limit, no sign-up and no watermark.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Trimming happens entirely in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
How is instant mode different?
Normal mode cuts frame by frame and re-saves the video at high quality. Instant mode copies the part without re-encoding, so it takes a second and loses nothing, but the start snaps to the nearest keyframe.
Which formats can I upload?
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and other common formats. If the browser cannot show a preview, type the times by hand and cutting works as usual.
